BIOGRAPHY
Graham studied at Canterbury School of Architecture, College of Art and followed the course on Architecture. The curriculum included history of art and figurative drawing classes. He went on to pursue a career as an architect.
As a retired architect Graham has had time to reflect and develop practice in painting and drawing. In practising skills he strives to portray emotions and personal narratives including salient contextual features which lend mood and enhance the story to be told.
Graham works in many media, favouring acrylic, oil and water paints, including experimenting with pigments directly. Techniques and processes explored have included Japanese wood block printing, mono-printing, lino cuts and glass fusion. He regularly attends life drawing and portraiture classes to further develop his skills.
Lately he has assisted others to develop their skills through the Tring Art Group, Hertfordshire.
